Cinnamon Rolls Recipes

The best homemade cinnamon rolls ever! Satisfy your sweet tooth first thing in the morning with these shortcut cinnamon rolls. You’ll never go back to any other recipe once you try this one!


Fluffy and soft cinnamon rolls taste even better prefect for breakfast.




Cinnamon Rolls Ingredients I Used:
Dough Ingredients:

👩🏾‍🍳 3/4 cup Luke warm milk.

👩🏾‍🍳 2 1/4 teaspoon yeast.

👩🏾‍🍳 3 tablespoon castor sugar.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk.

👩🏾‍🍳 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter.

👩🏾‍🍳 3 cups bread flour ( for best result it has to be bread flour).

👩🏾‍🍳 A pinch of salt (1/8 teaspoon).


For The Filling:

👩🏾‍🍳 1/2 cup coconut sugar or dark brown sugar.

👩🏾‍🍳 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon.

👩🏾‍🍳 1/4 cup softened butter.


For The Frosting I Used:

👩🏾‍🍳 1 tab of 180 g cream cheese at room temperature.

👩🏾‍🍳 3 tablespoon butter , softened.

👩🏾‍🍳 3/4 powdered sugar.

👩🏾‍🍳 Zest of large orange.


Methods:

👩🏾‍🍳 In the bowl of an electric mixer, pour in the Luke warm milk, yeast, sugar, eggs and melted butter. Mix until well combined with a wooden spoon. Now add in the flour and salt and stir with a wooden spoon until a dough start to form. Now place the dough hook on the stand mixer and knead on medium speed for 10 minutes.


👩🏾‍🍳 Transfer the dough ball into a well oiled bowl, cover and place in warm place and allow dough to rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.


👩🏾‍🍳 After dough has doubled in size, place dough on a floured surface and roll out into a flat rectangle ( about 14*9 inches)


👩🏾‍🍳 Spread the 1/4 cup soft butter of top, sprinkle with the mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon then tightly roll dough up into a large log.


👩🏾‍🍳 Cut into 8 equal large pieces, place the rolls in a well greased pan( I used a 9 inches cast iron pan) , cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm place, allow to rise again for 30 to 45 minutes.


👩🏾‍🍳 At 30 minutes begin preheating oven at 160°c fan assisted or 180 °c non fan assisted oven.


👩🏾‍🍳. Remove the plastic wrap and place the rolls in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until just slightly brown in the edges. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before frosting.


👩🏾‍🍳 To make the frosting, in a hand electric mixer, combine the butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and fluffy then fold in the orange zest. Spread over the cinnamon rolls while still warm and serve immediately 😋 .
