Makoso (Cow Trotters Recipes)

The comfort food I am looking forward to making and eating as the cold weather approaches.

Ingredients I Used:

For 1.5 kg of Cow Trotters


๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ 1 leek (diced).

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ 4 spring onions (diced).

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ A few celery leaves ( diced).

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ 3 medium fresh vine tomatoes (diced).

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ 1 teaspoon each of a fresh minced garlic and ginger.

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ 2 tablespoon pepper soup mix season.

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ Salt and pepper to taste.

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ 2 bay leaves.

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ A chilli ( optional).


Methods:

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ Wash and prep all your ingredients. Add all ingredients in a big enough pot.


๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ Cover with fresh water ( just enough to cover the meat).


๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ Cover, bring to rapid boil and boil for 10 minutes on medium heat.


๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1 to 1: 30 hrs or until the meat has softened to your liking and the sauce has thickened.
