Lean Beef Mince

For the love of cooking from scratch.



Ingredients I Used:

👩🏾‍🍳 500g lean beef mince.

👩🏾‍🍳 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 teaspoon soy sauce.

👩🏾‍🍳 1/2 teaspoon salt.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 tablespoon dried oregano.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 egg.

👩🏾‍🍳 2 garlic cloves.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 small finely chopped onion.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 red pepper finely chopped.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 teaspoon chilies flakes.


Optional: a handful of chopped coriander.


👩🏾‍🍳 Mix all ingredients than form about 12 to 16 balls. At this stage you can freeze them for ready to cook later. I have so many ways how I cook my meatballs but today as I was going to cook the in Ratatouille, I simply baked them in preheated oven at 180°c for 15 minutes than I added them to my Ratatouille and let it simmer on medium low for 45 minutes. They came out so juicy, tender and basting with flavour 😋.
