Leek & Cheese Baked Meat Balls


What is in them?


👩🏾‍🍳 500g lean beef minced.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 large leek thinly sliced.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 small shallot.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 teaspoon minced garlic.

👩🏾‍🍳 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese.

👩🏾‍🍳 2 tablespoons bread crumbs.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 whole egg.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 teaspoon dried oregano.

👩🏾‍🍳 1 teaspoon salt and black pepper.


Methods:

👩🏾‍🍳 Mix all up well but be careful to not over mix it otherwise you will end up with tough meatballs.


👩🏾‍🍳 Form balls, place them on a plate than cover with cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour. When ready to cook, bring to room temperature at least 10 minutes before cooking.


👩🏾‍🍳 Bake in preheated oven at 200°c for 20 to 25 minute depending on the size of your balls or bake until browned and cook thoroughly.
