You asked and I deliver.
Here is how I made these dangerously finger licking pork ribs with my own homemade rub and a game changer of homemade BBQ sauce👌🏾👌🏾😋😋.
Remember you can use shop bought rub and BBQ sauce and simply follow the recipe using them.
Ingredients I Used:
2 pork ribs ( about 800 gram each)
Dry Rub:
👩🏾🍳 1 tablespoon smoked paprika.
👩🏾🍳 1 teaspoon salt ( I used smoked salt).
👩🏾🍳 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
👩🏾🍳 1 teaspoon onion granules.
👩🏾🍳 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper ( or less 🔥🔥).
👩🏾🍳 1 teaspoon brown sugar( I used coconut sugar).
👩🏾🍳 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder.
👩🏾🍳 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
👩🏾🍳 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg.
For The Glaze Aka The BBQ Sauce:
👩🏾🍳 1/4 cup pineapple juice.
👩🏾🍳 1/4 cup ketchup.
👩🏾🍳 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce.
👩🏾🍳 1 table liquid smoke ( I used the deep smoke from @knorruk).
👩🏾🍳 1 teaspoon brown sugar ( I used coconut sugar).
Methods:
👩🏾🍳 Heat oven to 140°C
⚠️ Make sure the thin membrane covering the rib is removed ( see image)
👩🏾🍳 Rub both side of the ribs with a generous amount of the dry rub. Place the ribs meat side up on a large roasting tray, cover them tightly with baking paper or foil.
👩🏾🍳 Place in the preheated oven and bake for 2 to 3 hours depending on the weight of your ribs.
👩🏾🍳 While the ribs are baking, mix all the glaze ingredients in a small sauce pan, cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
👩🏾🍳 After 2 or so hours, change oven setting to grill and heat to high .
👩🏾🍳 Remove the ribs from the oven, discard of the cover and generously brush with the glaze (BBQ sauce) on both sides.
👩🏾🍳 Place the ribs uncovered back in the oven and grill for 3 to 4 minutes.
👩🏾🍳 Remove from the oven and cover with foil and allow to rest for 10 minutes for the juice to redistribute.
👩🏾🍳 Serve and enjoy 😋👌🏾
