Here is how I made these dangerously finger licking pork ribs with my own homemade rub and a game changer of homemade BBQ sauce๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐.
Remember you can use shop bought rub and BBQ sauce and simply follow the recipe using them.
Ingredients I Used:
2 pork ribs ( about 800 gram each)
Dry Rub:
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1 tablespoon smoked paprika.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1 teaspoon salt ( I used smoked salt).
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1 teaspoon onion granules.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper ( or less ๐ฅ๐ฅ).
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1 teaspoon brown sugar( I used coconut sugar).
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg.
For The Glaze Aka The BBQ Sauce:
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1/4 cup pineapple juice.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1/4 cup ketchup.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1 table liquid smoke ( I used the deep smoke from @knorruk).
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ 1 teaspoon brown sugar ( I used coconut sugar).
Methods:
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ Heat oven to 140ยฐC
โ ๏ธ Make sure the thin membrane covering the rib is removed ( see image)
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ Rub both side of the ribs with a generous amount of the dry rub. Place the ribs meat side up on a large roasting tray, cover them tightly with baking paper or foil.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ Place in the preheated oven and bake for 2 to 3 hours depending on the weight of your ribs.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ While the ribs are baking, mix all the glaze ingredients in a small sauce pan, cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ After 2 or so hours, change oven setting to grill and heat to high .
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ Remove the ribs from the oven, discard of the cover and generously brush with the glaze (BBQ sauce) on both sides.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ Place the ribs uncovered back in the oven and grill for 3 to 4 minutes.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ Remove from the oven and cover with foil and allow to rest for 10 minutes for the juice to redistribute.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ Serve and enjoy ๐๐๐พ
